Web design and SEO

We were already qualified, but this makes it official!

The old adage of ‘location, location, location’ can quite easily apply to the web. Sure you might have the best looking website design, the most user friendly interface and the most logical ecommerce platform, but if the only person noticing that is you it’s all been a bit of a waste of time. You need to drive people to your web site and the way to do that is through Google.

Our web designs look pretty, they also work well, but just as importantly they are built with SEO in mind.

CSS Mania and web design

The power of CSS lies in the hands of skilled designers and web developers, CSS design is extremely important and has numerous benefits. If that statement baffles you then listen up and I will explain as simply and quickly as I can what I am talking about.

To build a website that will truly work for the client you need to make sure that the site is designed inline with the brief and that it’s coded using strict CSS (Cascading Stylesheets). XHTML and CSS have many benefits, with clean code, faster browser loads and the first step to achieving proper search engine optimisation (SEO).

With the combined skill of each member of our web design team we achieve excellent results for our clients and beautiful websites at the same time. Have a look at some of our work which has received recognition from CSS Mania.

Web Design London Results

One of the single most important elements that can make or break a web site has to be its visibility on Google. That coveted 1st page that everyone is striving for is no easy feat to achieve but we think we are pretty good at it, so much so we are about to put it to the test

Back in January we set ourselves a target, to get on the first page of Google.co.uk for the search term ‘Web design London’. It’s just about one of the toughest phrases we could find with 11,500,000 other competing pages to beat.

The rules were simple. Within four months (10th April 2008) www.netdreams.co.uk had to be listed on the first page of Google.co.uk for the search term ‘web design london’.

The results are in…

Google.co.uk – page 1, position 5
Google.com page 1, position 5
Yahoo.co.uk page 1, position 1
MSN.co.uk page 1, position 1
MSN.com page 1, position 1

Traffic to our site and enquires have shot through the roof. If you are serious about SEO and have the resources come and have a chat.

UPDATE: We are now Google Qualified for AdWords.

Trade Show Spy by ID, Web design London

Our latest web design Trade Show Spy goes live incorporating Off The Press, our email marketing platform. If you’ve ever wondered how effective your exhibition stand is you need to check out this site. The web design follows a traditional web 2.0 style, allowing users to set up online surveys and receive crucial feedback regarding the effectiveness of their stand at any given exhibition

‘Both Mark and I have been extremely impressed with Internet Dreams due to their professionalism and working ethic throughout the creation of the Tradeshow Spy web site. Changes and updates were constantly being made and at no point was there any change of attitude from Mike and his team, they remained cheery and a pleasure to work with. More importantly, the quoted price has not altered and I must admit that we have received an end website that has far exceeded our expectations!’

We would like to wish all our clients and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Already we have had calls about how we did the snow on our Christmas mail out, so I have shown the original photo that was used as the base for our artwork. As you can see the end result is way different and has a nice look and feel in line with our branding.

Also just to let you know we are closed over Christmas and the new year and back on the 3rd of Jan 2008. We will of course be checking our emails.

myCRMmanager screen shot

Internet Dreams flagship CRM / lead management web based application (myCRMmanager) has recently been upgraded to enable it to effectively handle email correspondences.

After the initial launch we received some great feedback from our clients. Everyone seemed to agree that we had built a web based lead management module that you could jump straight into.

‘We are national short term Computer Rental Company and were looking for a simple down to earth CRM package – that showed me as a manager what I wanted to know without a thousand other useless options. Well done Internet Dreams you have hit the nail on the head with this product. Simple to use, robust, easy to access and simply professional, exactly what we were looking for.’

Donato Lombardi, General Manager, Abacus Rent IT.

Email integration was one feature mentioned by a few of you so we sat up and listened. The general consensus was the need to be able to attach emails to leads without having to manually copy and paste the content into the system. As a direct result of this feedback we’re pleased to announce the following functionality.
